Hey there, I’m Dashiell Coleman, a journalist, writer and photographer currently based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

A little about me:

I’m currently an editor for digital news and engagement at WFAE, Charlotte’s NPR News Source, where I’m responsible for editing and writing stories and other content for the station’s website and its newsletters as well as implementing social media and audience engagement strategies. I’m also a feature writer for WFAE’s arts and culture newsletter, Tapestry.

I’m a former county government reporter for The Gaston Gazette, a daily newspaper that documents the life and times of some 200,000 people living on the outskirts of one of the largest and busiest cities in the Southeastern United States.

Before returning to my native North Carolina in 2017, I spent five years as a reporter at the Savannah Morning News, covering one of the American South's most storied cities. In addition to reporting on government, military, higher education, politics and public safety, I’m an award-winning photographer with experience maintaining news websites, social media management and email newsletters.
